Use this packet to fix b-d confusions!
Students use practice pages with a teacher to develop accuracy and automaticity when naming letters with a focus on b and d, or when reading potentially confusing words spelled with b or d. Students begin practice using a multi-sensory anchor. The anchor for fixing b-d confusions is using a b-hand to check before naming the letters b or d. Once students demonstrate no confusion when using the anchor, they move to naming letters without anchors, and then finally to reading words without using the anchor. When students finish the practice, they do not need the anchor and they no longer confuse b’s and d’s!
