Use this packet to fix common letter confusions!
- For letter naming confusion with the letters b-p, f-t, g-j, h-n, i-j, m-n, m-w, n-u, p-q, v-w, w-y
- Does not include b-d, which is available separately in Practice Packet #1 – Fixing b-d Confusions
Students use practice pages with a teacher to develop accuracy and automaticity when naming letters. Students begin practice using a multi-sensory anchor. Each anchor consists of a hand gesture and a phrase. (For example, the anchor for fixing g-j confusions is to touch near the letters g and j while saying “j has a dot”, then to name the letter appropriately.) Once students demonstrate no confusion naming the letters when using the anchor, they move to naming letters without using the anchor. When students finish the practice, they do not need the anchor and they no longer confuse the letters.
